I have recently purchased a home that had a few vandal problems. It seems someone was trying to steal most of the pieces to the breaker box while it set empty during sale. The closing company had most of it repaired during closing, but turns out today *the hottest day in a month* the wire from the AC condenser to the breaker box is missing. My home insureance covers fixing exsisting parts but not running new wire. I have run some 8x2 from the dissconect box out side to the breaker box. I have 2 60 amp breakers unused where the condenser should be. But I am unsure how I need to hook them up. The eletrical guy at home depot mentioned 2 power leads and no return *negative*. Just checking to make sure I need to wire both leads to hot with no return. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

look at the name plate on the condenser; it will tell you the amp( min amp.)... then you could use the proper wire size...

The wire size is correct. I'm unsure as to the tying in to the breaker box. As in how the 2 60 amp breakers and the wire from the condenser disconnect should connect.
