    Raised rent
Landlord raised my rent before lease was up.in my lease there is a provision that says they can charge for water sometime in the future if they want.recieved letter saying they would charge for water and would soon get a monthly bill for water, then another letter saying they changed their mind and would just charge me $22 dollars extra every month which is basically a raise in my rent since I don't receive a bill for water. Can they do this or did they break the lease. I live in jackson ounty,Missouri

They can not change the actual rent amont in your lease. They can set a fee to charge for water if you signed they could do that. So if they specify that the 22 dollars is for water, then they may get by with it. You can pay it and then sue for it back in housing court as a breach of the lease.
I think I would try and fight it, maybe get all of the renters together and all of you hire an attorney
