    My girlfriend was caught shoplifting in costco in calgary alberta canada the total was 297.00 it is her first time offence she got charged under section 334(b) under 5000 what will likely happen for her first time an is there anything we should know she is 24 are there any programs available to her will this stay on her record does she need a lawyer

    There are programs, yes she needs an attorney, probation and fines most liekly
