Can I use a P trap instead of an S trap?
My drain goes into the concrete floor. Can I use a P trap instead of the S trap. A P trap would be easier to install and not require an extra length of that flexible PVC piping. My S trap won't reach without the extra flexible pipe.

I could use a P trap with a straight tube coming out of the P trap and then a 90 degree turn into the floor drain.

    Will it still vent?

    Thanks!

"S" traps are illegal. Use a "P" trap with a AAV(Air Admittance Valve) This will keep you legal. Good luck, Tom

    Use of P trap

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks a lot for the quick answer. I'll give it a shot with the P trap.
