Can Payday Loans be disscharged with Bankruptcy
I owe on seven payday loans. I recently decided to file for bankruptcy in Illinois. Can these loans be discharged?

Probably. What does your attorney advise?

There are certain debts that are nondischargeable, but these probably will not be in that category unless the creditor objects to the discharge because you made the loans intending not to repay. Did you?

The only real issue will be if you wrote them a "check" for them to cash to make good for the loan, ( as in one of our recent posters) if they are holding a "bad check"

Not saying you did furnish a check but this is common in many payday loans

If this is the issue then no it could not be normally, since the bad check could be considered a criminal issue

But you need to get with your bankruptcy attoreny and work though this
