Lately I have been getting plans Emailed, I need to zoom to an area and enlarge and Print.
Currently I can only get it to print whole page on 8.5 X 11. Extremely small and Very difficult to read(even with Magnifier).
I sure miss full size plans.

Are the plans being sent as JPEG attachments or some other file extension?

If they are attachments, you can use the "SAVE AS" to save the attachment as a .jpg. Rename the Filename if you have to but make sure you save it as a Anyfilename.jpg.

Once you do that you can use all manner of picture editors, for example I use PhotoShop to edit the image. Just about any picture editor will do. You can even go to Tucows Download and search for "Freeware" picture editors.

I'll ask that this posting be moved to computers/beginners for the time being.

Feel free to to send an image over to me at my home address and I'll see what I can do with it then pop it back to you.

You can adjust the size of the print, I would suggest sending them to your local reprographics business and asking them to print you a copy at 24 x 36 or whatever they are supposed to be so you can get them to scale. Are they PDF's?

PicMaster: Quick and Easy Image Editing

picmaster, It supposedly has "tile printing".

Fedex-Kinko's can do the large prints for you. We also have a blueprint shop (or what used to be) that will too.

I've downloaded it, but haven't tried it. I want to print a file at 1:1, but it's a 2' x 3' pie crust end table. I want to have a glass made for the pair. The photo is probably easier than tracing the pattern onto brown paper which was suggested by the glass company.

On the other hand, if the owner of the PDF document has a printer that will print the correct page size, you can always download the printer driver and then use that driver when you look at the document. But when you actually print a section of the document, route it to your local printer.

Follow up, Thanks for the Advice, I wanted to say I found a Local Office Depot that you can email to them and they print on the Large Paper, Very good Quality.

I get oversize prints all the time from FedexKinkos. They have a sheet printer that will print 48" x "whatever"

There's actually a really simple fix, in the print properties dialog box, there's usually an option that allows you to fit contents to page. Make sure this is disabled.
