Recently met a guy, and we went on one really fun date.

Meant to be meeting this weekend, but don't know yet as he says he has to visit a relative.

I find this hard to believe as a, I just don't trust men, and b, he was the one that was asking when we are meeting, and now he comes up with this.

He told me he would cancel, and we will meet, but I don't know if this will happen, as we won't talk till later.

I just want to know how I can trust him, and not keep asking if he likes me, and wants to be with me.

I pushed my ex away with my behaviour, and low self esteem, and don't want this to happen with this guy.

He was the one that asked you for a second date. Normally, when a guy isn't interested, he doesn't ask. He skirts the issue, makes excuses, etc. etc. but doesn't ask. Trust him that something really did happen with his relative.

Just wait. Wait for him to get back.

The only way you can trust him is to Just Do It. Trust him until he gives you reason not to. That's a good way to approach any relationship.

Take this weekend as a You weekend. Go get a massage, get your nails done, rent chick movies, and eat lots of chocolate. Make it about you. Don't worry about him :)
