Okay, here's my situation, I'm on the iud for about two years now, now I have a sister who was on this for just a year and is now four months pregnant, so okay now lately I've been having symptoms like bad nausea, very tired with no energy at all, feeling a little dizzy and light headed here and there, and a little abd pain like when I wear tight jeans or something so anyway I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and I came out negative. So now I work in a er so I know that sometimes with ectopic pregnancys you will get a negative result, so my question is what should I do? I mean, should I wait a week and take another test?

Either wait a week or go to the doctor and get a blood test. How late is your period?

Why do you think it could be an ectopic pregnancy? Have you had one before, because the risk does go up if you have. We need more info.

Well its been about a little over two months since my last period, but I get it irregular because of the iud, some months I won't get it at all but ill still cramp up. And I'm a little worried about ectopic because it's a greater risk when on the iud. A lot of women have come through the er with a case similar and the outcome isn't so good. Me and my husband use condoms also but for the past month and a half we haven't used them so and now I'm feeling some symptoms but I guess ill wait another week and have another test done unless these symptoms get worse. And no, I have not had an ectopic pregnancy before.

If there is a possibility of an ectopic pregnancy that go to your doctor, you don't want to wait to get this diagnosed. Good luck and keep us posted.
