    Can I get emancipated?
All right, well my question is about emancipation. I want to know whether it can be done for me or not. You see I am unhappy where I currently live and at the school I currently attend. I know that parents and teenage children fight a lot, but I think I would be better off without all of that. I want to move in with a friend and stabilize myself and show that I have proof of legal income. I will then give my mother the notice of the court hearing and try to get emancipated. I was happy where I used to live and at the school I last attended. Of course I will have to have my mothers consent to move in with my friend over the summer, and I don't want her to have to go to court over custody of me. If someone can please answer this question for me, I would very much appreciate it.

Well first not only do you have to consider your mother, but where is your father, if he has visitation rights, he also still has legal rights over you if your mother loses hers.

With that, you will have to show you can afford your own apartment, not living with someone else, you have to earn enough money to pay apartment, electric, water, food.
Also there has to be a reason, just not liking your school or the move you did, is not grounds, do they beat you, do they steal from you, do they abuse you verbally, without a reason, no you will not win.

Can you just talk to your mom about spending the summer at your friends house?
What is your age and state?
Here is a site on getting emancipated
    It varies state to state
