I bought my Yard Machine mower 4 summers ago and used it that first season. It has been stored through the last two summers and I want to use it now. Put in new battery. Turns over, but does not run. Acts like it's not getting any fuel, just turns over really strong. Verified the following: Carb filter clean, intake area clean, fuel filter clean, fuel flows freely with line disconnected at carb, both plugs producing spark and in good shape. Following all starting instructions.

Look within the carb itself. This is probably where the problem will be found.

Your engin may be dry of gas from it being stored for so long with out being started this same thing happened to me. Here is what you should do take off the filter that is connected to the carb. You will see a little plate inside the carb that regulates air flow into the carb make sure that the plate is in the vertical position and pour some gas into the carb to prime the engine.
