We had out Hot Water Heater replaced yesterday and today we have low or no water pressure in the down stairs bathroom. Why?
First, need to check the aerator at the end of the spout (see pic.) Remove this aerator by twisting out clockwise (may need pliers to grip it) and then clean it (make sure all parts come out with the aerator)... run water without aerator in place for 10-15 seconds. Re-install aerator and see if volume/pressure is better.
If not better come on back and let us know.. ok? Mark
It was working fine yesterday until the new water heater was installed. It has to have something to do with the water heater.
If you are getting good water pressure in the rest of the house chances are its not a problem with the water heater try Marks idea and see what happens. I have seen clogged aerators more than once.
You said it AC101:
I don't know how many of my fellow workers make the mistake of purging the water lines after water heater installation to a nearby sink (without removing aerator) and , of course, clog the aerator!
After a water heater installation, ALWAYS PURGE LINES CLEAR TO TUB SPOUT OR LAUNDRY TUB (no aerator)!
Thanks for the greenie!! Good day all... Mark
