When I was arrested I was arrested at school. I was pulled out of class by a teacher and outside of the classroom were 2 detectives and one uniform officer. I was taken up stairs to the teachers offices and taken to a small room that was un occupied. I was sat in the room on a chair and the police officers left the door open. Teachers would walk by and look in and see me, and shake their heads. Was this the proper situation for an interrogation? Should I have not been taken to a private room with just myself and the officers in it?

Did you ever ask them to close the door or take you to a private room?

Schools can typically get away with a lot more b.s. than under more normal circumstances.

You were being questioned. If you were charged with a crime after you were questioned this would essentially be public information. If you did not wish to speak to the officers and told them as such and they continued to question you that's a grey area about your rights being violated. You must be formally arrested before your rights can be violated by speaking with the officers and answering their questions if you request an attorney. You could have just refused to answer their questions when they pulled you into an unoccupied room for questioning. Were you ever charged formally with a crime after you were questioned and taken to the police dept for booking? Just having the door open and teachers walking by is really questionable if you have any kind of a case.

Were you interviewed without your parents present?

If this is about the stolen credit card and, in fact, you and your friend stole it from a teacher I'm sure the entire staff knew about your involvement long before you were arrested. Or is this a new matter?
