92 Honda Civic won't idle right
I have read many items about civic problems but have found many answers that have confused me more. Here is my question. Just purchased a used 92 civic LX that when you start it the engine idles at 3000 rpms, after you move the car it will come down but then it surges from what sounds like a normal idle to 3000 rpms over and over and doesn't stop. I have been told by some that it is the MAP sensor. If it is or could be this where is it located and is it hard to change. Is there a way to check to see if it is working? The car has a manual transmission. As far as I know there are no modifications to the car.
