Is a QDRO exceptable in a divorce settlement?
I was married about 2 years and according to my separation agreement was suppose to get $22500 as a settlement. My husband is requesting a QDRO to pay this settlement. This is not for my retirement, the settlement is for furniture and home equity and credit card debt that my husband was responsible for. I understand that there will be penalties and taxes due for this money. Is this what the QDRO is designed to do?
