1. Will Oxycodone & Oxycontin show as the same drug on a hair follicle test? (Isn't it the same drug?)

2. Does a Hair Follicle test show amounts of the drug used? How accurate does this get?

Oxycodone + oxycontin are the same substance.

Oxycontin is actually short for Oxycodone Continuous release, so yes... they will show up the same.

The hair follicle test won't be accurate as in "how much" you've used, but it will give a relative amount as it can show if the person's been a heavy user or a light usre.

It will show that you have used this substance and how long ago. It depends on how fast your hair grows also. It will not say just how much but it will show larger amounts are present.

IF you have a prescription for them take it with you and let them know it is a prescription
Many people are under the assumption that they will 'get caught' taking their own prescription

If a relative left even one oyxcodone in your home, and you do not have a prescription for it, you are just holding them for your friend until they come back into town, this is a felony, and if you also have a gun legally in your home, they will put at least 3 more 1st and second degree felonies on you!! If you are a doctor, they will do the same, but additionally they will make a big example of you and make this sound like you are a big drug addict and dealer as well as try and get DOPL to take away your license. They will tell a very exaggerated one sided story to the press and ruin your career, just because you were holding the few 10mg percocet for your mother because she still needed to have her second knee replacement and did not want to fly with the pills and was afraid she would loose them. The doctor or civilian will loose every penny they have worked 120 hour work weeks their entire life to be a good husband and father, go way into debt, and need to move to a different state if he is lucky enough to fight and win against all the fabricated felonies in a several year court battle that will put any man near suicide because all he did his entire life was be a good hard working nice guy that tried to spend his life helping other people. Someone some how needs to take this corrupt self-serving legal system down before it becomes the down fall of this wonderful country that becomes more corrupt every year
