What is wrong with my cat!
My cat is 8yrs old, inside, basically a spoiled princess. She was laying on her pillow and all of a sudden started this cry... she has never done anything like that, it lasted for about 15 minutes... she jumped from my bed, to the floor and we went down the hall... I laid on the floor beside her and she would not stop screaming. Her eyes were big and her mouth was open a little bit.. she appeared to be breathing failry hard and would only lay on her side. I know she's 8, but that's really not old. No freakin vet is 24 hrs or has an emergancy number around where I live... so I don't know what to do.. my best friend sent me this link... HELP!!

I have pressed firmly on her belly to feel if she is bloated or would make her cry or be defensive... after about worring for 45 minutes now, I have laid her on my sweatshirt in the center of my bed.. she's sleeping now. I am scared just due to the fact my other cat passed in oct suddenly. WHAT is wrong/was wrong.

Is there not a pet hospital in your area? If you send me (via private message) your town, I can check for you. Also, I was under the impression that all vets had an emergency number, is that really not the case?

Could she be pregnant? Eaten something that she wasn't supposed to?

I had a cat once that would behave like that when he had a hairball, but he would usually cough too. He would also cry and run around if constipated.

Maybe she was in pain... You should get her to a vet or maybe look up a list of foods that cats aren't suppose to eat and see if you feed her any of those foods. Some cats do something kind of like that when they are in heat.

This happened to my male cat about two weeks ago. I was devastated and scared because he usually never meow's and he started crying in pain and hid in a cupboard. After about 15 minutes of this (and me trying to find the emergency vet number) he ran to the litter box and was crying in there... He was constipated! It was really scary to hear though.. maybe she was constipated?
