    B-1 Resident Alien Tax Returns
    Here's my situation,

I am resident alien because I have been present in the United States for more than 183 days in 2007 and fulfill the significant presence test for the past three years. I have received interest income from Time Deposits that have been subject to federal income tax. My country (Pakistan) has a tax treaty with the United States that grants exemption on taxable income from annuities. I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out which forms I need to fill out. I have received a 1099-INT from my bank and have not have received a W-2. Below is the link for the tax treaty and the article number is X. Thank you!

If you have to file resident tax return then the filing requirement for singles start with $8,750. If you are a nonresident, then you don't need to file if your income is $3,400 or less.

You can file if taxes are withheld to get refund.

Thank you! I have around $2500 withheld on around $8000 income which I am hoping to get back. I am only filing as a resident because of significant presence. Which forms do I need to file? (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ or another).
