    Cannot Tolerate Neighbor's Guest
I am really at the end of my rope with a neighbor of mine -- or, more particularly, the guy that she's hosting at her house. They were once engaged, then broke up, and now I do not know why this guy is staying with her. In any case, he has a motorcycle as his only vehicle, and he drives it at the most ungodly hours. He will pass my house around 1 or 2 in the morning several nights, and sometimes will make laps around our neighborhood (out of boredom?) and go by over and over again.

This is really disruptive and wakes me and everyone else up in the middle of the night. I think he's going way over the speed limit, and he has wrecked his bike more than once for driving recklessly. My neighbor has received myriad complaints but won't kick him out. Is there anything I can really do to have something done about him, or will I just have to suffer through it? I've imagined many terrible things that I'd love to do to this guy for continuously ruining my sleep before going to high school in the morning, or taking the SAT.

Have you called the police? Maybe one night they could sit somewhere that he doesn't know they are watching and give him a ticket for speeding or something? I bet if a policeman or a Judge lived nearby something would get done. But I don't really think there is much you can do.

I agree that there probably isn't a lot you can do except wait. Jerks don't last long on motorcycles. Anyone who has dumped a bike a couple of times is a corpse that hasn't quite quit breathing. I wonder why all the rides at weird hours. Could he be making sales runs ?
    Just a thought.

Check with your local police dept. there may be an existing noise ordinance in place. Violations of such can be very costly.

Lol I have to admit that part about "1 or 2 in the morning several nights, and sometimes will make laps around our neighborhood (out of boredom?) and go by over and over again."
Sounds like spmething Iwould do but not to be mean just cause theirS nothing else to do. But why don't you just ask him to be quite

Have your family talk to them politely and if that doesn't work follow Gem_22205's instruction.

I have very noisy neighbors (I live in a college town). I tried talking to them (that didn't help) I've told my realty company (they didn't do anything) so Ive made numerous noise complaints and the police are very lenient so the problem continues.

Hopefully your neighbors are polite 'adults' and this problem can be solved!
