... and is heavy you might want some help to locate a stud in which to drive a screw or other mounting receptacle. If your wall is drywall (very likely), even the best hangers available will not ensure the gypsum will not break apart from a heavy point load. Don't let the advertising on the hanger wrapper mislead you... the weight they often refer to is when used to hang something like a ceiling fan which distributes the load over a much large area than when used in a vertical wall.Quote:

Depending on the weight of the mirror like flick said, you could try drywall anchors. The ones I'm talking about are at least 1/2" in diameter and look like a large screw, they have also have a threaded hole down the center to accept a small woodscrew after they are installed.
