99 chevy silverado not starting right away
This just started yesterday.turn the key and it just turns over.hit the key a second time and it starts right up.if it only sets for a while it starts no problem.I changed the fuel filter with no difference.seems like the fuel pressure lowers.someone told me there is a pressure regulator, but I don't know where it is and do I have to relieve the pressure somehow to change it?there's a pressure sensor on the back side of the manifold but I would think if it were bad my service engine light would come on.there's also a fuel pump relay, could this be bad or would the service light come on for that?thanks for any help.

Sounds more like your starter is going bad. Sometimes when they go bad they do it in dribs and drabs and one day it won't work at all. Have someone put the starter on a meter to see if it still good. Don't monkey around with the pressure switch, etc until you check out the starter.

Wrong; the OP stated that the motor will turn over but not start. If the starter wasn't engaging, then the motor wouldn't be turning over.

It sounds like your fuel pump may be getting weak. I would have a pressure test done on it to rule it out. If that's what it is, get ready to drop a few hundred because GM came up with the brilliant idea to put the pump, strainer, electrical harness and sending unit as one whole assembly.
