    I believe it is different for every area. Where I live, you must take the classes to be properly licensed.

    Yes, I live in Chicago and already took the CNA test but here you need to take the classes. I went to a community college and it was only 3mts long 4days a week.

    You will need to take the classes. Even though you have experience with nursing assistant work, there is more to it than that. You need the theory behind what you are doing.
