If you were normally regular, your doctor may decide to do a check on your hormone levels. Sometimes it can be just slightly off enough to cause a disruption in your cycle. Depending on the what the cause may be, a fairly common step is to prescribe birth control pills for a few cycles in hopes of getting things balanced again. A thyroid check is also a normal approach. Some women find success with vitex... which can take a few months of use to see a change, but it has a good success rate of restoring hormone balance. Of course, whether there is an issue or not, and what might be the best approach for you, will depend on your situation and your doctor's determination.
