I have a top load Whirlpool washer that will fill but not agitate or spin. It also gives a ticking sound and a slight "electrical burning" smell. Any ideas?

The coupler between the motor and transmisison has gone bad. Easy fix and cost around $35.00 if you do it yourself

If you go to ApplianceJunk.com and look at the video how to's, You will see a video of haow to change this out. Easy to do
