Recently a crystal candle holder fell into my downstairs toilet. Crystal candlholder was heavy and solid and put a hole the size of a quarter in the inside of my toilet. If I were to flush it the inside of the bowl would fill and that would be bad I'm assuming.
Is there a way to patch the hole or do I have to buy a new bowl and install it.

Based upon what you have written, it sounds like the hole is not all the way through the toilet bowl and there are no cracks proceeding out from the edges of the hole. Would that be correct?

Yes it is only on the inside of the toilet.

And, no cracks going out from the edges?

How deep would you say the hole is, please?

No cracks it's the size of a quarter and its hollow on the inside... so its not deep but you can see in side the stick your finger in it.

If it is patched, do you care if the color of the patch matches the color of the bowl?

The reason I asked about color, is because I don't know that it would be possible to find an epoxy that would be the same color as your toilet, depending on what color it is, of course. If the epoxy is not the same color as the epoxy that you would use, then it might be possible to find an appliance touch-up paint that might be about the same color as your toilet. You would need to sand down the patch in order for the touch-up to look the best.

Lots of good questions and answers but I still do not have a clear picture. Is this a chip in the china or an actual hole all the wall through the thickness of a china wall?
