When is it safe to have unprotected sex after starting the pill?
I first started taking alesse 28 about 3 years ago, I was on it for about 2 and a half years and it worked fine, I had unprotected sex but never became pregnant. However, I forget how long I waited after I first started taking the pill before I had unprotected sex.
I started taking the pill again on Saturday march 28 on the last day of my menstral cycle, and I had unprotected sex yesterday (april 8) so it's only been about 11 days. The pack says to wait a week and a half before having unprotected sex. Should I take plan B?
    Any answers would be helpful.
    Thanks.

Usually, the recommended waiting time is about week to two weeks for the full effect of the pill to take place... of course, this doesn't mean you're completely safe. Many still suggest you use two forms of contraception to ensure maximum protection... but even then, still not safe.

I won't tell you whether to take plan b, but I will tell you that after 11 days, it's likely that the birth control is taking its full effect, but then again, you never know.

Hello, well I'm with you in the same question, I started my pills on a Monday and took 2 pills for the Sunday I should've started, and have been taking one pill daily for 11, but I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, so my question was if it was okay and if their were no chance of pregnancy?
