Hi!

I would just like to ask if we can file exemption and child tax credit for our daughter. Here are the facts

- she went here on a tourist visa last 2006 from 24feb-may24
-she arrived last 16 aug 2007 under an L2 visa.
-my husband and I will be filing jointly as us resident.
- we met all the other qualifications except that we are confuse if we can consider our daughter as a US resident as well to get a child tax credit.

I am not sure but what I was told is if they live with you for six months out of the year you should be allowed to.
