My story is like this. My father is a citizen of Madeira, so I want to get a passport. I can't get hold of a copy of his birth certificate, how do I go about this? I have his full name and date of birth.
Also, what are the steps I need to take to get my passport?

Can you provide more info? Father, mother, are they legally married? What is your nationality? Where were you born? Do you have birth certificate? Etc.
