I have a dripping noise coming from the upstairs bathroom, that I hear in the ceiling of the room below. It drips all the time. Sometimes fast, sometimes slower(3 seconds/per drip). There is water on and around the ceiling.
It can not be hot/cold water pipe leakage. Otherwise, I could hear the different noise of “sh…sh…” and a lot of water would leak out.
It can not be drainage pipe of upstairs bathroom. Otherwise, the noise should stop when faucets are shut down and water in drainage pipes ran out.
I guess it is because of condensation on the cold water pipe above the downstairs ceiling. But how could I make sure of this guess?
Any ideas as to what might be causing the problem, or how I can avoid tearing up downstairs room’s ceiling? Thanks a lot.
