    John Deere LX178 float sticking
My LX178 runs like sh-t. I have replaced the float, cleaned the carb. Replaced the hoses.
After running for about 20 minutes it starts to spuder and backfire. Gas comes out of the over flow hose. I lose all power. I have taken to the dealer twice, it runs fine a couple times then right back to the problems.
If you have any sugestions I would Really appreaciate it.
    Thank You

Fedup, you could be having a fuel system malfunction,or trash in the tank, or the fuel system lines. Will it restart after it dies? If it doesn't without a cooling period of about fifteen to thirty minutes, it could be the coil breaking down. As a coil heats up, if it is going bad, it will begin to separate internally, which could cause this as well.
