    Maytag fridge shell heating up
Hello, I have a Maytag side by side fridge/freezer. Of late, I notice that the divider between the two sides gets very hot - in fact it is almost too hot to touch. It then seems to cool off only to return again. Is my fridge about to die? It has and ice maker and is about 12 years old. Any thoughts?

Please have a repair man come and look at your fridge. There is something overheating in the machine and could possibly cause more problems if just ignored. A side by side should not heat up like you described. Something needs replaced pronto.

There is a yoder loop that runs along the doors. It is hot gases that keeps form condensation. If you have and energy switch you can turn it on
