Mr. M bought light bulb at ACE Hardware for cash... so the entry of Ace Hardware for the day would be:

    dr. Cash xx
    Cr. Sales xx

A day after, Mr. M found out that the bulb is not working properly so he went to ACE and return the item and he received his money back... so the entry of Ace would be:

dr. Sales Return and Allowances/ Sales xx
    Cr. Cash xx
