I Just put an IUD in 2 days ago. They asked me at the doctors if I was pregnant and I said no. Later the thought occurred to me that I really might be pregnant because no birth control is 100% effective. I took a test today and it was positive.

2 months ago I became pregnant and had a miscarriage followed by a D and C. I only had unprotected sex once and I was still having some bleeding at the time. The D and C was 6 weeks ago. Could I still have residual hormones from the last pregnancy? If I am really pregnant, what's the next step?

I worked at an obgyn... they are suppose to do a pregnancy test before doing the IUD!! The iud's can contain a hormone called progesterone (the marana is one brand)which is the same thing in because pills that can hurt the baby. Also... lets just put it this way... you don't want something foreign in your body while the baby is growing. It can cause a lot of problems! Get to the doctor right away and make them take it out asap. Also I would get your money back!! They are suppose to do a pregnant. Test!! Other wise they are liable. They can not go off just words alone! Unless maybe you did sign something saying that you were not pregnant. Although you could still fight it.

I Won't stop bleeding, and I started the pill on time on Sunday. My last period was on time. What should I do? I called the nurse and they haven't responded

It may be nothing.. you could just be having a long period. Have you been on because for a while or is this your first pack? If it is your first one in a while then the meds can take a while to go through your body. That's why they say to wait to have unprotected sex for a month until the pill is in your system. Periods can be unpredictable! Although if you are worried go see your doctor it might give you peace of mind!

Yes, it could still be from the miscarriage, but you will need to obviously have a blood test to know for sure. The levels would likely be fairly low at this point. If you are pregnant, they will simply remove the IUD.

January the 8 I got the Mirena (IUD) put in, they did a pregnant. Test that I pea on a stick not the blood test. A week later I still had not blood or spotted like they said I would so I took a pregnant. Test on the 16th of Jan. and it was positive. They tried taking it out because they said it would cause prob. If I didn't misscarriage, however they found out that I have a tilted uterus and that there is no tool they can use to get it out because my uterus is tilted so far back. Now they are telling me as long as I have no problem they are going to leave it in until delivery. Other people are very concerned about all the hormones the baby will be getting and that I may miscarriage. Also saying that I need and should file a law suit because if I do loose this baby that they will just blame it instead of the reason of the IUD. Other people are telling me that my baby could be deformed, or have a lot of problems, please help I don't know what to expect or how I should react. It's something new I tried and now I'm pregnant can it cause a lot of complecations during pregnancy or a lot of problems with the baby will he be deformed I am now 12weeks along PLEASE HELP. I'm just so scared
