Looking for Legal answers about divocing an Immigrant.
I lived in Ohio, and signed immigration papers and affidavit of support papers for a Canadian, which I married. We were married almost 2 years. It didn't work out, he went back to Canada , I still live in the USA. We have been separated 4 years now with no contact.
My question is: Is there a way to get a divorce and have the affidavit of support ended since we have been separated for 4 years, without having to pay $ 1500.00 to a lawyer for a divorce? I'm not sure of the immigration laws , but it seems like after being separated that long and him not even being in the USA, there should be a cheaper, easier way.
Any professional advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You!

WEll if you have contacted him, and he agrees to the divorce it can be easier and cheaper but if you don't know where he is, or if he will not agree, you have to have the attorney and do it.
