Why am I bleeding at 12 weeks!
I am twelve weeks pregnant today I am bleeding for the last week, I have no cramps, the blood ranges from brown to red and is generally light, I am very scared as I had a miscarraige at 16 weeks before but with heavy bleeding but again no cramps, ultrasound scan says that the baby is fine, my doctor did say I had some cervical erosion what is this and can I have a normal pregnancy with this? Will this bleeding ever stop now that he says I have an inflamed cervix? Could this have been a cause of miscarraige last time as the baby was perfectly healthy, I had a kidney infection last week and had a high temp for a few days this was when the bleeding began, could this be the cause the blood is not from my kidneys!! I had a similar thing before my last pregnancy bleed not well high temp!! can you possibly bleed throughout your pregnancy and go on to have a healthy baby, help me to answer some of my questions anyone my heart is broke worrying about this baby!!

You should see your Dr. again. Bleeding during pregnancy is never a good thing. If you have had a miscarriage before, the chances of another are greatly increased. Infections during pregnancy also increase the risk of miscarriage. If the bleeding is coming from your urethra, it could be blood from your kidneys. If you are bleeding from your vagina, it is blood from your cervix or uterus. If you don't understand something your Dr. says, make him explain it. They're not good at that sometimes.

I agree with the above post, go back to your doctor and get checked. I know that some women can bleed through their entire pregnancy, but it isn't normal and should be checked. Let us know what happens and good luck to you and your baby.

Cervical erosion is not unusual in pregnancy and probably one of the more common reasons for spotting or bleeding. Bleeding in early pregnancy can be fairly normal, often due to hormone fluctuations, but certainly any bleeding should be checked out. If you had recent intercourse or a pelvic exam, that can be enough for the irritation to the cervix... which is more susceptible to irritation during pregnancy. Depending on the reason for the cervical erosion, more may need to be done, but often times it is more of an annoyance than a concern and won't effect the pregnancy.
