My boyfriend was arrested for drug charges and sentenced to three years probation. He did well for 6 months and worked 50 hours a week, then messed up and got a DUI. He is sitting in jail now until the 17th which is his VOP hearing. What can I expect? His boss and mother plan on begging for reinstatement/house arrest with work release. He already attended and documented two AA meetings.

Depends on just what the drug charges he was originally sentenced on. The judge won't be impressed that he worked 50 hours a week. He's going to be very impressed by the fact that he got a DUI more. Your boyfriend is going to have to face the music. The fact the mom and boss are going to bat for him is great. It's going to really be up to the judge and the PO what's going to happen to him at the VOP hearing. Depends on what county and how the prosecutor's office is also.

My best guess is they will give him another try, but he had better stay sober if they do
