I need to install my lexmark x 1185 printer how do I download and copy a c d for it thanks william

I give up, what operating system are you installing the printer on?

Did you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance? If you are using Vista or XP did you check the preinstalled printer drivers.

Go to Global Gateway and search your printers model number, choose drivers and look up the driver for your OS. Then when u download pick save.

Save it to a file you can find it on and then go to that file and unzip or decompress it. Then copy your folder to the cd burber soft ware to burn to a cd.

Or you can after unzipping it, turn your printer on, and go to the files u downladed click setup and it will install the drivers just follow the prompts.
