I'm' attaching dog eared wood fencing to my existing chain link fence. One slate
At a time. I'm bolting the wood at the center rail. Drilling a hole straight through
The wood and the rail. Looks OK.
Except at the bottom the fencing is popping out, because it is not secure to
Anything. I have electric ties but they are too short. I need something to secure
The fencing to chain links at the bottom of the fence, or something? Any ideas?

It's just the chain link behind the wood. So there is nothing to
Attach to. Possibly after a section is finished. A stringer could
Run across the bottom from post to post. Attached with a bolt.
It would press in the bottom of the fence panels to the chain link.
That would keep the bottom of the fence panels from popping out

With a fence staple you can slip it around thje cyclone fence wire and then nail it to the dog ear wood.

The bottom of the chain link itself is the issue. Nailing the board to a loose fence is no answere. Oneill474 has the right idea.

Then fix that first, by interleaving a stiff cable through the links.

I did fix the situation. I'm using 14" cable ties. They pull in the slack at the
Bottom of the fence panel. They loop around the chain link. And then are pulled tight.
I had to drill two to small holes in the fence panel to accommodate the ties wrap around.

Run wood behind on the other side of chain link. Screw through dog eared piece into 2x4 and sandwich the chain link in between.
