We do not have cats but neighborhood cats get under our house and pee and spray. Our whole house now smells like cat urine and I do not know what to do. I know we first need to board up the hole but my question is how do I get rid of the smell? It is starting to get warm here and the smell is becoming unbearable. Thanks for your input in advance.

You could call some pest control people to see if they can just spray for the odor to eliminate it. I know it will dissipate in time but realize that is not an option for you ! Not only board up the hole but sprinkle some cayenne pepper around it as well.
