My 25 year old 1 piece fiberglass tub shower unit has developed three 2 inch hairline cracks in the shower wall. It does not appear that water is seeping through the cracks.

Is there a preferred sealant for ensuring that water does not sweep throgh these cracks?

Hi Steve,

If you wish to seal the entire enclosure click on; http://www.golustro.com/polishes.html
And scroll to the bottom and check out fiberglass sealant.
If you just want to caulk the cracks take silicon jell and using your finger force it down into the cracks. Wipe off any excess that remains.

Hi steve.
If you only have minor cracks in the fiberglass surface you should be able to only need to wax your tub. Thouroghly clean it first then lay the wax to it. Two or three layers (wipe on wipe off = 1) would be of help. Deeper cracks would need to be addressed differently of course. Hope you only have minors...
