Period might be lasting a bit too long?
I started my period around awhile ago, maybe like between Sunday to Tuesday, I'm not exactly quite sure when. But before my period started, I did felt a bit of unpleasant cramps, not as bad as they usually are. And now, I'm still on my period, so it has been awhile and I'm pretty worried.

As for my information, I'm 17 years old, I started my period when I was 12 or 13 years old. I've recently started taking birth control, the brand of the birth control is Ortho-Novum7/7/7. And I started being sexually active like last year during October to November.

So how long was this particular period? There was no information verifying that. And why would that worry you?

Uhh... it could be from 9 to 11 days at least? And my normal periods usually last for 5 to 6 days, maximum 7 days as usual.

Things get a little weird when you introduce new hormones into your body (birth control). I had two periods when I first started my birth control.

If you are really really worried, go to your doctor.

During February, I had my period on the 7th, but usually I would get it around the end of the month. I started taking birth control on March 16th, so I guess I'm like still on the period that is meant for March.

    That could very well be.

But could that lead to a longer period?

    I don't think so...

I also just started birth control and I have been on my period for about 3 weeks. And I am really starting to worry but can't afford to go to a doctor.
