We have a Kenmore Washer Model#100 20692 001. When filling with water, the cycle starts at the appropriate level of water but the water continues to flow into the machine. Where can the water sensor be located or what else could I do to correct this problem? Thanking you in advance for your efforts.

The washer has a pressure switch which shuts the water valve off when desired water level is reached. The pressure switch tube runs from pressure switch to bottom of the outer tub. The tube could be stopped up by something or the pressure switch could be bad. The pressure switch is normally located in the control panel around timer. Take tube off pressure switch and blow through it to see if it is clear, there could be something in between the inner and outer tubs blocking it. If it is clear you will need to blow through it from the tub side if switch is good you should here it click when you blow. Hope this helps some. Bo

(Another user with the same problem) OK, I blow lightly and hear the switch click. Water keeps coming in - cold only. When I shut off the supply, while the cycle is still active, off course it stops, then I immediately turn the supply back on and the filling does not restart.

So, now I am thinking it has to do with the valve, correct. So I pulled the value. I can blow through the cold side but not the hot. Anything serviceable here. Could the pressure switch be good (since most of the flow stops, but leaves half the cold running?
