Hi, would like some input on DWV in FL. Have done a fair amount of plumbing, mostly up north, but haven't done DWV in the sand in FL.

Have a small bathroom that we've cut out some of the cement to get a the DWV etc. Is there any online video's that would show the basics from start to finish?
Moving the stool, sinks, center draining tub in place of old sinks and a shower near the incoming septic line.
Suggestions? First time member/posting.

Gee! It would be great if we just had one set of p-lans that covered it all.
Unfortunately that's not possible since all jobs are different. ButI'll give you a typical Florida bathroom rough in. Most of our vbathroom groups are roughed in like this.
Toilet connects to sewer main or the stack vent. Lavatory connects to toilet drain and runs a vent off the top the stubout tee out the roof or revents back into a dry vent in the attic.. The toilet wet vents through the lavatory vent and the tub/shower connects to the lavatory drain and is wet vented by it. This is a normal rough in and is acceptable both by local and state codes and also The Standard Plumbing Code Book.. The vent off the lavatory may be run out the roof or revented back into a dry vent in the attic or if you're reventing back into a fixtures dry vent you must make your connection at least 6 inches over that fixtures flood rim.
To tell you more I would have to be on site,( where do you live? I',ve plumbed from New Port Richey down past Fort Myers)or have a set o0f detailed plans showing mje where the mains, vents and branches are and where you wish to install the new fixtures. Regards, Tom

OK! Tie into your sewer main with a 4" wye or 4" combination wye and eighth bend. This will be your branch, This branch should run direct to the toilet. Off this 4" branch you will cut in a 4 X 2" wye or combination wye and eighth bend to pick up the vanity/lavatory. In the 2" branch to the vanity/lavatory you will cut in a 2" wye or combination wye and eighth bend to pick up the tub/shower. I've explained how to vent the group off the lavatory and the tub/shower will be wet vented by the lavatory vent. You're going to like sand. It's much easier to dig in then yankee dirt. Good luck, tom
