How much is my baby entitled to?
I gave birth to a baby nearly 4 weeks ago and me and her father split up while I was pregnant. He has agreed to pay his way for her and he sees our baby at least 2 days a week. I was just wondering, what percentage of his wages should be going towards the baby?Having a baby is very expensive and I can't do it all alone but wanted to check that he isn't going to stitch me up with hardly paying anything towards her. Please help.

You need to settle this matter in court.

    How much does he make?

He told me he makes around £800 a month. Someone told me they think it should be about 20% but wanted to check first before I told him that. I don't want all the hassle of going to court or going through the CSA.

It is 20% in Illinois, if it is his first baby. I don't know where you live, but the amount should be set. Don't go off of what he tells you, you should ask him to show a W-2 or pay stubs if it's a new job. Your legal rep should handle everything.
