Ihave window vista home basic. I can send file attachments via windows mail. I cannot attach files to hotmail or send files via msn or Yahoo messenger. and yet I can receive files Why? Please help me... THANKSSSSSSSSSS

Do you get an error message when attempting to attach files in hotmail, msn or Yahoo? If so, what does it say?

What EXACTLY are you doing to attach files? What happens when you do?

When I try to send in instant messaging it just sits and does not move I have to cancel
When sending via mail it takes about 10 minutes trying to attach then says... we cannot attach this file... or something similar
I have always managed to do it on xp... hate this vista!!

Ahh so you are attaching to an Instant Message, not an e-mail that's a different story. We need the EXACT message to help. It may not mean anything to you, but it might tell us what the problem is. I believe attachment size may be limited in IMs.

What is the size of the file you want to send ? It might be a good idea to RAR the file if its to big or you might think about uploading it to one of the many file hosting sites.
