Was wondering if anyone has taken chantix and could tell me if they had any side effects and what the side effects were, thank you

I know someone who took this medication and during the first 2 weeks he was having disturbing nightmares and was also anxious. Needless to say he discontinued the medication. There was also an article in the paper about Chantix causes mood alterations and some people becoming so depressed they have committed suicide. Take with caution.

I've been taking it for 3 months now and LOVE it!! The only side effect I have is dreams, but they are very colorful FUN dreams, most of them include carnivals and music.

It really hasn't helped with the smoking, but I am in my last semester of nursing school and under more stress than I have ever had in my life. I think I'll give it another go after graduation and board exams.

Some drugs work wonders for some while they are bad for others.
Prozac is like that.
