    1040NR capital gains/loss
    Hi,

I need to figure out whether to report my capital loss from stocks in the US, using the schedule D or page 4 of 1040NR (line 84).

I am now on H1B and was on F1 visa until Aug 2007. I am a Non-resident for tax purposes. I was present in the US in 2007 for 223 days on F1, and 92 days on H1B.

If the answer is Page 4 of 1040NR then where do I add line items in excess of the 5 lines on that page?

Should the dividend income be on Line 10 of the 1040NR or Page 4 of 1040NR?

For the capital loss, use Schedule D.

For the dividend, I need more specifics as to the nature of the dividend.
