Obscure 70's or 80's Children's full length Cartoon
It was a full length cartoon movie, I can only remember a minimal part of the plot, but I was hoping someone had stored this little bit of information away somewhere.
The point I can remember, the main character needed something to save a sub character and is told he can get some kind of "silverleaf" or plant thing from this special island. However on the island is a werewolf type animal.
That section of the movie was kind of darkly drawn, the werewolf-type animal could talk and I'm pretty sure at that point in the movie there was a couple companions with the main character who either waited behind or ended up helping to get him back off the island.
I was thinking Phantom Tollbooth maybe, but I haven't seen it in about 18 years.
