Please help me with increasing the fan speed on my units. I'm having difficulty of getting sufficient air volume in one area of the house. If I can increase the fan speed it may also help in other areas of the home too. On the wiring diagrams it indicates that the fan can be increased but can't determine if it is setting on high now. Thanks.

What fans do you have ? Ceiling fans? Table fans? Aircon fans?Quote:

And air volume depends on house construction and the atmospheric pressure. Not on fans inside your house.
Fan speed depends mainly on the type of fan construction.
They are manufactured for 2, 3, or 5 speed, by special wiring inside the motors. With a speed switch mounted on or in the fan housing.
There is no hidden switch inside a fan motor that can be set to double the fan speed. Raising the fan supply voltage will not increase the fan speed, but burn out the fan.
Please note : if I misunderstand your question, specify clearer what you actually want.

If you have a furnace with a circuit board there should be two different poles for the speeds the black wire should be connected to the Hi spade clip. And either red or blue on the Lo clip.
What type/make/model of fan are you referring to?

Many Air Handlers have 2 speed motors but only use 1 speed, the other speed is capped off, Motor may say which is a common hot, and the low and High speed wire.
Disconnect low speed wire(if it is currently on low)and connect the high speed.
You may want to close other registers a little and open the one that needs more flow to full open?
