I have a 1996 chevy van G 30, 8 cylinder, 5.7 L.
I asked at Advanced Auto Parts for a price estimate for tranny mounts they said there is only one mount.
I asked at Pep Boys they said there are two.
Both places said they have to order the part.
I don't want to get the wrong part so does anybody know which it is?

Although there is only one trans mount, it is still sometimes referred to as a rear trans mount. It attaches to the extention/output housing and is then bolted to a cross-member. It simply supports the rear of the transmission.
What ever is the going rate for that mount, it'll take someone with the knowledge and the right tools less than an hour to change it.
