There's more to marketing your new product to the airlines than writing a letter. You're actually going to need a marketing PERSON, and maybe even a whole department.

If you're an engineer or tech guy, stick with that. Let a marketing guy do his thing.

You will never get anywhere with an introduction letter to a major airline, the letter will never get off some clerks desk in the mail room along with the 1000's of other advertising and I want to sell to you letters.

First there are major trade shows that you will need to have a booth.
Next of course you will need to have a salesmen call upon the airline in person. This can take months just to get in but a trained salesperson in the airline field can do it.

Next a DVD showing how this product with improve, save them time, same them money or something can be made and that sent to purchasing, or engineering.

There will be business lunches with lower management and purchasing.
